(if you hold your mouse over a category, an example will load over the circular MB logo!) if there is no menu, click HERE.Sunday, August 23, 2009it's all good![]() *waxing philosophical alert! haha* although the glow of those gym lights could often make a few minutes seem like long, torturous hours, i actually had a lot of fun at the county fair this year. i loved meeting everyone - the scores of families with little children, the cliques of friends, the people who could find a piece of themselves in my buttons somehow. i got to talk with aspiring shop owners, old acquaintances, other crafters and my vendor neighbors. i shared laughs with those who got my sense of humor. i thanked my lucky stars for every moment my friends and family spared to help me out. i appreciated every familiar face that came by to say hi. there was rain and overwhelming humidity and in the days leading up to the fair, lots of stress and doubt and all sorts of other good stuff, but on the first or second day of the fair, the woman running the tie-dye t-shirt booth to my right (i am SO sorry to not have caught your name!?), perused my buttons and said something so unexpected and meaningful; she said, "you need an 'it's all good' button because it really is all good. we are exactly where we're supposed to be and doing what we're supposed to be doing." call me crazy, but it was precisely what i needed to hear. and that's how i started off my stint at the arlington county fair this year. :) now it's all over - my little community in that tarp-covered, american flag-adorned gym has dispersed. i'm tired, but thankful, and i hope that those of you with whom i crossed paths walked away feeling good, too. many thanks to everyone who showed molebaby buttons some love in one way or another this past weekend!! special shouts to jogi for doing so much; to ma, pa, sela, donna and keith for keeping me sane with their good company; to berny and jason for their support, enthusiasm and button partying; to kim, alvina, gloria and gem for visiting their local molebaby; to carolyn of brighter day beads for always creating new and fabulous necklaces. keep an eye out for new stuff from molebaby buttons - i'm all kinds of inspired and excited, and as my itunes just told me (or journey, really) - "don't stop believin'!" haha. it's all good.
