hello all! i have some exciting news!
1) HANDMADE PARADE - i will be at the norfolk craft mafia's holiday bazaar, handmade parade, in norfolk, va on saturday, november 10!!! ...and i'm listed on their blog!! check it out here! 2) OCTOBER IS LUPUS AWARNESS MONTH - molebaby buttons is a proud supporter of lupus research. as advertised, certain portions from the sale of molebaby buttons lupus awareness products are donated to the alliance for lupus research (ALR). this will be a yearly lump sum donation during the annual Washington DC "Walk With Us to Cure Lupus" Walkathon, which is sponsored by the ALR. 100% of the donations to the ALR fund lupus research. and i must say, that is pretty amazing. if you're interested in joining the fight against lupus, you can start by participating in the DC walk or one that is more local to you. you can also support me in this cause by going here and donating to the ALR. (if you don't know what lupus is, a simple google search will do the trick. but my quick summation is this: Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the body's immune system to attack healthy tissues in the body. This can result in damage not only to tissue and cells, but also to joints and major organs, including the skin, kidneys, and lungs, among others. At least 1 million people in the US alone have lupus, and 90% of them are women. It is more common among those of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American descent. Its cause is unknown, and there is currently no cure.) i thank you for your attention, and (hopefully!) your support! and if you're in the norfolk area on november 10, do come on by!! luv & buttons!~* Labels: awareness, awesome, bazaar, craft mafia, handmade parade, lupus, norfolk |
